Generate PDF from XML using XSLT

18,March,2015

XML to PDF through XSLT is a simple tool for generating PDF from XML using XSLT. Usually an XML document is hardly readable. With a huge amount of data it is more difficult to identify the information we needed. The only way to solve this problem is to convert XML data to a readable format. One of the easiest way is to convert the XML to HTML, but sometimes the required target would be PDF format. For converting XML to a readable format we use an XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations). The XSLT provides a formatting style for the XML file like a CSS file for HTML, we can also do different kinds of operations inside XSLT. For converting XML to HTML we only have to refer the XSLT file in the XML document and open the XML in browser. But converting XML to PDF is rather difficult. Generating PDF from XML requires some external libraries. But our Application “PDF Generator 1.0.0” provides a simple interface for generating PDF from XML files.
